MAYOR BILL WHITE THANKS “OUT OF TOWN” CREWS ASSISTING IN HURRICANE RECOVERY AND INVITES HOUSTONIANS TO DO THE SAME
October 3, 2008 -- Mayor Bill White today gave thanks and a rousing send-off to Fort Worth Public Works and Engineering crews and encouraged Houstonians to thank the many workers from across the state and country that are assisting in Houston’s hurricane recovery.
“While there is still much to do, crews from across the state of Texas and the U.S. have played a major role in our efforts,” said Mayor White. “I encourage Houstonians to thank the many workers when you see collecting debris, repairing signals, restoring power and patrolling our streets. Let them know their hard work has not gone unnoticed.”
