Mayor Parker Emphasizes Need for Uniform National Public Safety Communication Network to U.S. Senate Committee

 

September 23, 2010 -- Mayor Annise Parker today testified before the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation to support Senate Bill 3756. This bill would create a national public safety network on using broadband technology, providing a uniform communication system for first responders instead of the current system of various networks on different radio frequencies.
