City Crafts Formal Response to Council Member Involvement in Drainage Fee Case

September 23, 2016 -- “Flood mitigation is a high priority for this administration, and Houstonians can rest assured that the City is using the drainage charges in compliance with their intended purpose.   It is the City’s position that the affidavit filed by Council Member Michael Kubosh in this case is irrelevant and should not be considered.  Just in case, Public Works Director Dale Rudick has submitted an affidavit to the court to clear up any misunderstandings that may have been created by the council member’s filing.  It is the City’s position that the Drainage Ordinance remains valid in every respect.”
