The steel gazebo that sits in one of Houston's oldest parks, Root Memorial Square Park, provides a base for a rather unique photographic art piece to stand. Located on the corner of Bell and Austin Streets across from the Toyota Center, the gazebo holds a photograph of a green leaf on glass on the roof. The piece was designed for the sun to shine through the transparent photograph in order to create a vibrant green hue below the roof in the gazebo. The piece was created by American photographer Ann Stautberg in 2005.
