Artist Statement:

The Art Guys have embellished the baggage claim carousels of the new FIS building with a playful and colorful display of illuminated suitcases and carpet entitled “Travel Light.”  There are two basic elements:  (1) cast fiberglass illuminated suitcases on the top surface of the carousels.  (2)  a graphic surface treatment of printed carpet under the suitcases covering the entire top surface of each carousel unit.  Our intent is to enliven the room with suitcases that change colors in a continuous light show while passengers wait for their luggage to arrive on the carousel.
