Memorial Park PhotoThe Houston Parks and Recreation Department provides seven challenging public golf courses for citizens' enjoyment, and a "First Tee" youth program at FM Law Park.

From Memorial Park, one of the highest rated municipal courses in the state, to the well maintained and lower priced Brock and Gus Wortham Parks, Houston municipal golf courses offer a diverse range of venues from which to choose. Memorial, Hermann, and Gus Wortham are all located inside the Loop (see map below). Sharpstown, one of Houston's most popular courses, is close in on the Southwest side. Melrose and Brock Park offer golfing opportunities for the North and Northeast sides of Houston, while Glenbrook provides a venue for the Southeast area of the city. All courses except Glenbrook have driving ranges.

Weekday fees apply Monday thru Thursday. Weekend fees apply Friday through Sunday, and all City Holidays. Junior and Senior rates are offered on weekdays only. Summer season begins the first Monday in May through the last Sunday in October. Winter season begins the first Monday in November through the last Sunday in April. Trail fees (the fee for using a personal electric golf cart) are waived for senior citizens on weekdays only.

For tee time reservations for all parks except Memorial, please call the course three days ahead of the desired date. To make a tee time reservation for Memorial Park Golf Course, log on to and access the tee time reservation system.
