PARKING MANAGEMENT'S RAMBO, PALACIOS NAMED "TEAM PLAYERS" BY CITY'S CEF DEPARTMENT

September 5, 2006 -- Parking Management employees Liliana Rambo and Alexander Palacios were among those honored at the Convention & Entertainment Facilities Department's annual awards luncheon, held Friday at Wortham Center.
Rambo, assistant director of Parking Management, and Palacios, a parking enforcement leader, were recognized as Team Players for their workplace performance. Parking Management is one of the divisions that falls under the auspices of the Convention & Entertainment Facilities Department.
"Liliana's leadership and Alexander's great attitude are but two components that make our Parking Management operations so effective," said Dawn Ullrich, director of the Convention & Entertainment Facilities Department.
Longtime George R. Brown Convention Center staffer Ed King was named the department's Employee of the Year.
Other employees recognized as Team Players were Demi Hoang, John Gonzalez, Stephanie Bell-Williams, Mitch Miszkowski, Shawn Hauptmann and Charles Cox.
Parking Management is a division of the City of Houston General Services Department. By servicing and maintaining almost 6,000 on-street parking spaces and numerous garages across the Greater Houston area, Parking Management creates sound regulations for all commercial and residential areas enhancing pedestrian safety, ensuring a smooth flow of traffic and allowing emergency vehicles to reach their destinations. Parking Management also encourages parking awareness while supporting public transit initiatives.
