Five-week doubleheader season begins the week of November 03, 2008 through December 19, 2008 (includes two rainout weeks). Days: Monday - Friday.

Awards will be given to the first place team from each league.
Private League Registration Dates:
Private Leagues Only - September 29 - October 08, 2008 at the Adult Sports Office, 6402 Market Street, Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm.
Cullen Park and Agness Moffit Park Registration Dates:
Teams desiring to play at Cullen Park and Agness Moffit Park only register on Saturday, October 11, 2008 from 8:00 - 10:30 a.m. at the Cullen Park Complex (19008 Saums Rd.). Returning teams (Men's & Coed) line up from 8:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. at the Cullen Park Press Box according to their team numbers. Placement in line is based on an ascending order, starting with the team managers who have the lowest team numbers. New teams as well as returning team managers with a team number arriving after 8:30 a.m., will go to the end of the line and line up on a "first come first serve" basis.
Cullen Park Late Registration Dates:
For remaining openings at Cullen Park after October 11th, teams may register on October 13 - 24, 2008 at the Adult Sports Office, 6402 Market Street, Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Cullen Park teams may also come to the registration at Wayside on Saturday, October 20, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
All Other Fields
Memorial Park, Tim Hearn Field (Cleveland Park) Registration Dates:
Registration and line-up for registration for all other fields will be scheduled according to division on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at the Adult Sports Office, 6402 Market Street.
Registration Procedure for Men's (B/C/D) Teams 8:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. - (Line-up begins at 7:30 a.m.):
Returning teams line up from 7:30 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. at the Adult Sports Office (6402 Market Street) according to their team numbers. Placement in line is based on an ascending order, starting with the team managers who have the lowest team numbers. New teams as well as returning team managers with a team number arriving after 8:00 a.m., will go to the end of the line and line up on a "first come first serve" basis.
Registration Procedure for Coed (C/D) Teams and Women's Open Teams 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. - (Line-up begins at 9:00 a.m.)
Returning teams line up from 9:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. at the Adult Sports Office (6402 Market Street) according to their team numbers. Placement in line is based on an ascending order, starting with the team managers who have the lowest team numbers. New teams as well as returning team managers with a team number arriving after 9:30 a.m., will go to the end of the line and line up on a "first come first serve" basis.
Late Registration for All Other Fields:
For remaining openings at all fields, teams may register on October 20 - 24, 2008 at the Adult Sports Office, 6402 Market Street, Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Entry Fees:
$250.00 - $300.00 per team.
No personal checks will be accepted. Only cash, credit card, company check or money order payable to the City of Houston will be accepted for league entry fees.
The entry fee must accompany all registration forms by the above listed registration deadlines. All registrations must be done in person. Additionally, complete rosters must accompany registration fees and forms.
A.S.A. Team Registration:
All teams participating in the 2008 City of Houston HPARD Softball Program will be required to register with the Amateur Softball Association (A.S.A.) at a cost of $20.00 per team.
Registration with ASA is required once every calendar year, and is separate from the Houston Parks and Recreation Department League Registration.
Cash and business checks accepted only made payable to "ASA." Team managers will receive an ASA Rule Book, ASA Score Book and have an opportunity to purchase team insurance.

Field Locations (directions from downtown): Cullen Park– 19008 Saums Road
Go west on I-10 to the Barker Cypress exit. Make a right on Barker Cypress and follow to Saums Road. Turn left on Saums Road and the park entrance will be on your left.
Memorial Park (Field #1) – 6501 Memorial Drive
Take South Loop West to the Memorial Drive Exit. Turn left onto Memorial Drive. Follow Memorial Drive and turn left at Memorial Loop Drive. Follow the loop and the field is located between Field # 2 and the swimming pool.
Memorial Park (Fields #2 & #3) – 6501 Memorial Drive
Take South Loop West to the Memorial Drive Exit. Turn right onto Memorial Drive. Follow Memorial Drive and turn left at Memorial Loop Drive. Fields are located immediately next to the soccer field and across from the golf course.
Memorial Park (Fields #4 & #5) – 6501 Memorial Drive
Take South Loop West to the Memorial Drive Exit. Turn right onto Memorial Drive. Continue on Memorial to the first entrance to the right (Picnic Lane). These fields are across from the sand volleyball courts.
Tim Hearn Field (Cleveland Park) – 200 Jackson Hill
Take Memorial Drive west to Jackson Hill. Turn right on Jackson Hill and the park is on your left side.
