NCAA Division II National Championships In Memorial Park
When the NCAA Division II Championships Festival takes place May 13 – 17, Houstonians will have the opportunity to watch some of the nation’s top student athletes compete in six spring sports. Entrance to the athletic events is free for spectators.
During this five-day period, the Memorial Park Golf Course, the Tennis Center, Softball Fields #1, #2, & #3, and Soccer Field #8 will be closed for public use. All other facilities and venues in Memorial Park will remain open, as usual.
During the NCAA Division II Championships, the courts at the Tennis Center will not be available for rental May 10 – 17. Locker and shower facilities will be available during normal operating hours May 10 – 12, but will not be available to the public May 13 - 17.
Courts at the Homer Ford Tennis Center in MacGregor Park will be closed to the general public May 12 – 15 for the Championships.
Spectators are welcome to attend the tennis matches at no charge. See draws posted at the tennis centers for the schedule.
