Looking for something to do this summer! Apply for a cool summer job with the Houston Parks & Recreation Department! We have positions in Aquatics for lifeguards and positions for recreation assistants. Here is what you need to do: 1. Applicant must be 16 years old as of May 20th.
2. Must express their interest and scheduled for screening. Screening consist of:
a. 400 yard swim - 200 yards freestyle and 200 yards breaststroke.
b. Retrieval of 10 pound brick from depth of at least 10 feet.
c. Swim with brick for 20 yards using side or back stroke.
d. Tread water for 2 minutes using hand flutter and 1 minutes without use of hands. 3. Complete interview and agree to provide 3 references. 4. If successful with the screening and interviewing candidate is scheduled for certification process. Skills Screening Schedule:
Location: Southmore Intermediate School, 1200 E. Houson, Pasadena, Texas.
Day / Dates: Every Friday (excluding 4/6/07)
Time: 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
