Playgrounds O - Z
The Houston Parks and Recreation Department provides a variety of safe, colorful play equipment at many of the city’s parks and greenspaces. The playground size and equipment vary from park to park.
H.P.A.R.D. staff makes sure all play equipment and fall surface is inspected every two weeks and in compliance with the safety guidelines established by the U. S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and the American Society for Testing and Materials.
To report playground equipment concerns to the Houston Parks and Recreation Department please use the convenient 311 e-mail form. Please remember to indicate the name of the park, relevant date, time and type of problem. We will respond to your request within a 72-hour time period.
PLAYGROUND INSPECTIONS
All HPARD playground equipment receives regular inspection and maintenance by the Safe Inspection Team, which makes sure that all play equipment and fall surfaces are in compliance with the safety guidelines established by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and the American Society for Testing and Materials.

Please indicate the name of the park, relevant date, time, and type of problem.
The fall surfaces at selected park playgrounds are being replaced. The parks will remain open during this process. The affected parks are marked with an asterisk * in th listing below.
