A subcommittee of the Houston Archaeological and Historical Commission (HAHC) has offered recommendations for further changes to the ordinance and incentives for preservation. The staff from both the Planning Department and Mayor's Office are reviewing the suggested changes.
The proposed recommendations are not on this week's HAHC agenda. We are recommending that the Houston Archaeological and Historic Commission hold a specially called meeting in July to discuss and hear public testimony regarding possible amendments.
Once the details are finalized, a notice will be placed on our website at www.houstonplanning.com. Also, there will be email notification through CitizensNet and the standard posting for routine HAHC meetings.
