The Department conducts analyses of existing conditions across various sectors of the city and studies future growth potential in areas with large tracts of vacant land, as well as areas in need of significant reinvestment.The purpose of these studies is to provide reliable data that can support economic growth by both the public and private sectors within the City of Houston.
These studies establish the framework for discussion of issues such as housing, land use, demographic trends, transit and transportation, and integrated sector studies.
