The Auto Dealers Detail is responsible for the licensing and regulation of automotive related businesses and the disposal of abandoned motor vehicles in vehicle storage facilities. The mission of the unit is to insure that the automotive industry complies with the many laws that govern their operations and to dispose of unclaimed vehicles through public auction.

Any person who sells, offers for sale, leases or offers for lease any new or used motor vehicle, new or used motor vehicle trailer, used motor vehicle parts or used accessories for motor vehicles, or acts as a storage lot operator.

Any person who drives an auto wrecker performing non-consent tow services at the request of a police officer

Any individual who installs, affixes or places or removes a vehicle immobilization device on or from a motor vehicle.

Any individual who, to obtain on-the-job training and experience in connection with PATSA tow operations before applying for a wrecker driver license.
