Houston Police Department
Missing Persons
How to Report a Missing Person / Juvenile:
- There is NO 24-hour waiting period required to report a person as missing.
- Incidents involving Missing Persons/Juveniles may be reported by calling the Houston Police Department at 713-884-3131 (non emergency) or 911 (emergency).
- It is important to have a photograph of the missing person available for the patrol officer so a Critical Reach Flyer can be made. If a photo is not available at the time of the report then you may bring one to a Critical Reach equipped police station so a Critical Reach flyer can be made and electronically distributed throughout the Houston area.
- Be prepared to provide a complete description of the Missing Person/Juvenile and details regarding the incident.
