Traffic Incident at 8300 Eastex Freeway

April 6, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 8300 block of the Eastex Freeway (U.S. Highway 59 North) about 8:20 p.m. on Tuesday (Apr. 5).

The identity on the deceased male victim is unknown at this time.

HPD Traffic Division Sergeant G.T. Hall and Officer Y.K. Wood reported:

The male victim, a pedestrian, was in the southbound lanes of the freeway when he was struck by one vehicle which then swerved and struck another vehicle. A third vehicle also struck the pedestrian. Paramedics pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.
