Incident at 1100 Lavaca

April 11, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 1100 Lavaca about 6:30 a.m. today (April 11, 2005).

The deceased victim is identified as Ernest Guzman (H/m DOB: 01-09-79) of 7500 Greendowns. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Officer T. McCorvey and Officer C. Scales reported:

The victim, Guzman, was found laying in the 1100 block of Lavaca Street with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and back. The details surrounding this shooting are vague and the motive and suspects involved are unknown.
