April 15, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 3705 Campbell Rd. about 9:45 p.m. on Thursday, April 14.

The victim is identified as Rogelio Delgado Brito, 21, of 3634 Spring Meadows. He suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. K. Peters and Officers A. Mares and A. Palos reported:

The victim and a friend were sitting in front of a trailer home at 3705 Campbell Rd. when a dark green or black van pulled up and persons inside called them over. During a conversation about which group Brito and the witness belonged to, the witness said one suspect displayed a gun. The van drove away and Brito and the witness went inside a trailer at that location. The two men went back outside where they saw the van turn around and head towards them. Brito armed himself with several pieces of concrete and stepped in front of the van. The victim allegedly struck the van with a piece of the concrete and an argument developed. One suspect got out of the van and shot Brito.

The suspects are described as three Hispanic males in their late teens, driving in a dark green or black van.
