Incident at 2900 Plum Creek Lane
December 18, 2005 -- Houston
police are investigating the attempted capital murder of an area
deputy constable on December 17, 2005 about 10:50 p.m.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant L.A. Flores and
Officer I.F. Flores reported:
Deputy C. Odom, of the Harris County Precinct
6 Constable's office, was attempting to make a traffic stop when
he lost control of his patrol vehicle. The driver of a vehicle
the deputy was trying to stop, turned around and accelerated towards
him. Deputy Odom, fearing for his safety, discharged his weapon
at the vehicle while retreating out of the way. The suspect's
vehicle veered toward the deputy and then sped away. The deputy
was not injured.
