Incident at 10066 Longpoint

February 20, 2005 -- A suspect has been charged in the fatal shooting of a man at 10066 Longpoint on Monday, February 14, 2005, about 2:26 a.m.

The suspect, Darick Dewayne Runnels (b/m DOB: 4-17-83) has been charged with
murder in the 338th State District Court.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. R. Baker and Officer D. H. Couch reported:

The victim, Jason Rickerson, 18, address unknown, was shot in the parking lot of a club after being involved in a fistfight with Runnels. Rickerson was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he died four days later.
