Incident at 10480 South Main

July 9, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 10480 South Main about 1:30 a. m. today (July 9).

The victim is identified as Shawndell Green, 27, of an unknown address. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the chest, hip and leg. Green was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants L. A. Flores and M. McStravick reported:

Officers were able to determine the victim was driving a vehicle in the 10400 block of South Main when he stopped in the roadway. At that time, an unknown suspect(s) approached and shot the victim multiple times.
