Incident at #1 Goodson #198

June 6, 2005 -- Houston police have arrested a suspect believed responsible for the shooting death of a man found at #1 Goodson Dr. on Monday, June 6, 2005 around 12:05 a.m.

According to Houston Police Department Homicide Division Sergeant M.McStravick and Officers P. Yochum and I.F. Flores Jr., officers called to the apartment complex regarding a shooting discovered Manuel Davila lying by a tree near his apartment, #198, with a gunshot wounds to the chest and ribcage area.

Davila was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he later died. During the investigation a vehicle in the parking lot of the complex led officers to the suspect, Nelson DeJesus Gomez. Gomez was taken into custody without incident and gave a statement to investigators implicating him in the shooting.

Murder charges are pending at this time. A DOB is not currently available for Gomez.
