Incident at 1800 Barker Cypress #837

June 22, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of two persons and the apparent suicide of a third individual at 1800 Barker Cypress #837 about 10:45 p.m. on Tuesday (June 21).

The identities of the two victims, a female, 30, of 1800 Barker Cypress #837 and a male, 41, address unknown, are pending notification to the next of kin. Both suffered gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect, a male, 32, address unknown, also died at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. W. Howard and Officer P. T. Yochum reported:

The suspect, who is the estranged boyfriend of the female victim, entered his ex-girlfriend's apartment and shot the male victim, who is the brother of the female, one time in the chest, and the female twice in the back. After shooting the victims, the suspect shot himself once in the head. Witnesses stated the female had discontinued her relationship with the suspect approximately two weeks ago.
