Incident at 5100 Clover

March 30, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 5100 Clover about 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday (March 29).

The male victim's identity is pending notification to next of kin by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and later died from his injuries.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant L. J. Baimbridge and Officer N. T. Ruland reported:

The victim and an acquaintance, only described as a black male, were seen riding together in the victim's van. The acquaintance shot the victim several times during an apparent robbery and then fled in a brown station wagon.
