Incident at 4646 West Sam Houston Parkway North
May 5, 2005 -- Houston police
are investigating the shooting deaths of two men in a murder/suicide
incident at 4646 West Sam Houston Parkway North about 8:30 a.m.
today (May 5).
The names of the two deceased men have not been
released pending notification of their family members. The male
victim suffered gunshot wounds to the head and back. The suspect
suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant S.H. Kennedy and
Officer T.J. McCorvey reported:
Both the victim and suspect were long time employees
and patent lawyers at the Cameron Corporation at 4646 West Sam
Houston Parkway North. The suspect walked into the victim's office
armed with two handguns. He shot the victim and then himself.
Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.
At this time, investigators do not know the motive
for the incident. Investigators have learned the suspect was heavily
in debt and did leave a suicide note in his apartment. However,
the note did not shed any light on the motive for the killing.
The investigation is continuing.
