Incident at 8000 Betty Boop

May 23, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 8000 Betty Boop about 7:50 p.m. on Sunday (May 22).

The unknown male victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C.J. Grysen and Officer D.R. Shorten reported:

Witnesses reported seeing a silver Chevrolet Impala in the 8000 block of Betty Boop. They heard one gunshot and then saw the driver of the vehicle being pushed out the door. A passenger then got into the driver's seat and sped away. The witnesses stated another male ran toward the car and also got in the vehicle.

The suspects were identified only as two black males.
