Incident at 5500 Antoine

November 26, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 5500 Antoine about 2:20 a.m. today (Nov.26).

The victim is identified as Maynor Eguizabal, 25, 5500 Antoine #181. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the back.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Carrillo and Officer H.A. Chavez reported:

Maynor Eguizabal was in or near his vehicle in the parking lot of an apartment complex when an unknown suspect approached him. The suspect shot Eguizabal numerous times and fled the scene. Mr. Eguizabal was able to walk to his apartment before he collapsed. He was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he later died.
