Incident at 8600 Sunbury

October 7, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the death of a man found at 8600 Sunbury about 3:30 a.m. today (Oct.7).

The victim is identified as Lloyd Lewis, 40, of 8626 Sunbury. The cause of death is pending an autopsy by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. McStravick and Officer R. Chappell reported:

HFD firefighters and HPD officers responded to a call regarding a vehicle on fire at the front of a residence. After the fire was extinguished, the victim's body was found inside the burned vehicle. There were no preliminary signs of foul play.

The investigation is continuing.
