Traffic Incident at 3300 Airport

October 9, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating a fatal accident involving a motorcycle at 3300 Airport on October 8, 2005 about 7:40 p.m.

The victim is identified as Archie Moore, 36.

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant N.Q. Nguyen and Officer T. Wiseman reported:

Moore was riding in a Suzuki GSX motorcycle traveling westbound on Airport. A white Chrysler Sebring was backing out of a driveway. As the Chrysler approached the middle of the street, the motorcycle struck the white Chrysler. Moore was not wearing a helmet. He was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was later pronounced dead from his head injuries. The driver of the Chrysler is not charged at time. Investigation to continue.
