Incident at 9000 Fondren

October 12, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 9000 Fondren #259-C about 6 a.m. today (Oct. 12).

The identity of the victim has not been released pending notification to his next of kin. He suffered a gunshot wound to the head.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant S.R. Kennedy and Officer T.W. Miller reported:

Officers responded to a call of a dead person near apartment 259-C. Investigators arrived and found the male dead on the enclosed patio of his apartment.

At this time, investigators have not determined a motive in the shooting and have no known suspects or witnesses.
