Incident at 2222 Westerland Drive #199

October 14, 2005 -- The fatal shooting of a suspect at 2222 Westerland Drive #199 about 2:15 a.m. today (Oct. 14) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.

The suspect is identified as Raymond Flores (H/m DOB: 10-13-76) of 2502 Westerland #526. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant L. A. Flores and Officers I. F. Flores and R. Chappell reported:

Officers responded to a call involving a shooting at 2222 Westerland. Investigators were able to determine that the suspect, Raymond Flores, was shot in the chest as he tried to forcefully gain entry into an apartment by breaking through the front window. The tenant who shot the suspect was not injured.
