Incident at 4907 Ingomar Way

September 4, 2005 -- The fatal shooting of a man at 4907 Ingomar Way about 4:25 p.m. on Sunday, September 4, 2005 will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.

The male victim's identity is pending notification to next of kin by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office. He suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. D. Newcomb and Officer T. Huynh reported:

The suspect said he and the victim were involved in an ongoing dispute over a $200 car payment. On Sunday, the two were discussing the issue again when the victim went to his vehicle and obtained a weapon. When the victim returned inside the residence, he pointed the weapon at the suspect. The suspect, also with a weapon, then said he shot the victim.
