Incident at 5747 Antoine

April 3, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 5747 Antoine on April 2, 2006 about 5 a.m.

The victim is identified as Francisco Cortez Martinez, 43, of 6000 Sunforest. He sustained a gunshot wound to the face and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants W.P. Booth and P.C. Motard reported:

Mr. Martinez, who was a regular customer of the Chevron convenience store, left the store after making a purchase and got into his car. A black male and a white or light skinned black female approached him. A short time later, the store clerk heard a gunshot. The suspects were seen leaving the location in a pick-up truck and Mr. Martinez was found deceased in his vehicle.
