Update on Incident at 13300 Hillcroft

February 7, 2006 -- Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 13300 Hillcroft about 3 a.m. on January 3, 1990.

The suspect, William Mansfield Gee (w/m, DOB: 4-5-55), has been arrested and charged with capital murder in the 351st State District Court.

HPD Homicide Sergeant J. W. Belk and Officer M. J. Miller reported:

On January 4, 1990, the body of Norman Bostic, 39, was found dumped under the Sims Bayou Bridge in the 13300 block of Hillcroft. The victim suffered six gunshot wounds to his body. The victim's abandoned and bloody 1984 Chevrolet pick-up truck was found later that day down the street from the Metro Transit Authority Hiram Clarke Maintenance facility. The original investigators also located firearm evidence in the grass near the victim's residence. Investigators were able to obtain a latent print from the victim's truck that belonged to the suspect. Recently, a witness came forward and told investigators that shortly after the murder, the suspect admitted to him that he had shot and killed Bostic. The witness had specific details of the murder that the suspect told him that was consistent with the evidence in this case.
