Traffic Incident at 3500 North McCarty Road

February 12, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating a fatal accident at 3500 North McCarty Road today (February 12), at 6:15 a.m.

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant L.A. Washington and Officers J. Nickell and S. Holmes reported:

The driver of a truck was traveling southbound on North McCarty Road when his vehicle left the roadway and hit the dirt in a ditch on the west side of the road. The truck flipped several times and it appears that the driver was thrown out of the vehicle. The driver was trapped under the left side back fender once the truck landed in its final spot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
