Incident at 8010 Weir

February 15, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 8010 Weir on February 13, 2006 about 10:20 p.m.

The victim is identified as David Espinosa, 45, of 8010 Weir.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant H. Riojas and Officer R. Cervantes reported:

Espinosa was found a short distance from his apartment lying on the ground with a gunshot wound. He was rushed to an area hospital and was pronounced dead the next morning. The motive for the shooting is unknown at this time.
