January 7, 2006 -- Capital murder charges are pending against two suspects arrested in the fatal shooting of a woman found at 4700 Cherbourg about 1:20 a.m. today (Jan. 7).

Suspect #1 is identified as Gilbert Rodriguez IV, (H/m, DOB 6/26/82), of 2310 Welk. Suspect #2 is identified as Julio Armando Falcon, (H/m, DOB 4/1/85), of 2200 Theta.

The identity of the deceased female victim is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M.W. McStravick and Officer I.F. Flores reported:

The victim was at the residence of Rodriguez when she became involved in an argument with Julio Falcon, (her boyfriend), Rodriguez and his wife. The suspects forced the victim into the trunk of Rodriguez's vehicle and drove away. The victim managed to escape from the trunk at 5300 Bataan; however, she was recaptured and forced back into the trunk. The suspects drove to 4700 Cherbourg where Julio Falcon shot the victim in the head and dumped her body in the roadway. Suspects Rodriguez and Falcon were later arrested by HPD patrol officers.
