Incident at 6230 Calhoun
July 15, 2006 -- Houston police
are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 6230 Calhoun
about 1 a.m. today (July 15).
The victim is identified as Tom Perry Brown Jr.,
44, of 3826 Florinda. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds and
was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M. McStravick
and J. Binford and Officers B. Evans and R. Swainson reported:
Mr. Brown and an unknown black male suspect became
involved in an altercation inside of a bar. The suspect left the
scene and later returned renewing the argument. The suspect produced
a handgun and shot Brown multiple times. He then fled the scene.
A motive is unknown at this time.
