Traffic Incident at 18100 Westheimer Parkway

July 25, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating a fatality accident that occurred at 18100 Westhiemer Parkway on Monday, July 24, 2006 at about 9:30 p.m.

According to HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Officer Steve Salley and Sergeant W.R. Cumbess, witnesses reported that a black Dodge truck traveling westbound on Westhiemer Parkway lost control and crossed the median. The Dodge truck, driven by 27-year-old Edgar Gomez struck a gold Toyota Camry, driven by 52-year-old Lois Delvalle, head-on, killing her. Gomez was transported to the hospital to be treated for injuries suffered in the collision.
