June 9, 2006 -- Houston police continue to investigate a two-car accident that occurred around 2:15 p.m. on Thursday, June 8, 2006 in the 14400 block of West Hillcroft.

According to Houston Police Department Mobility Incident Management Division Officers D. Ertons and R. Breiding, the driver of a van traveling westbound on the West Sam Houston service road lost control and left the roadway. The van traveled under the Hillcroft overpass and collided with a vehicle driven by 84-year-old Rose Lindey of 4411 Trail Lake. Ms Lindey died immediately upon impact. The driver of the van was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where she is being treated for her injuries.
