Incident at 12939 Whittington #206

June 21, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man found at 12939 Whittington about 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday (June 20).

The victim is identified as Darrell Grissett, 23, of 12939 Whittington #206. He suffered a gunshot wound to the head.

Homicide Division Sergeant W.P. Booth and Officer A.D. Brown reported:

Darrell Grissett was in the parking lot in front of his apartment when he was shot. Grissett's girlfriend reported hearing a gunshot while inside of her apartment and when she opened the door, she saw Grissett with blood on his shirt. He was eventually transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition.
