Incident at 8215 Avert

June 26, 2006 -- A suspect has been arrested and charged in the fatal shooting of a man at 8215 Avert about 4:30 a.m. on Sunday (June 25).

The suspect, Raeshaunda West (b/f, DOB: 1/29/80), has been arrested and charged with murder in the 183rd State District Court.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant Mike Scott and Officer Todd Tyler reported:

The victim, Frank Lee Ross, 25, of 8215 Avert and his girlfriend, Raeshaunda West, were arguing when it escalated into a physical altercation. The suspect retrieved a gun and shot the victim in the chest. He died at the scene.
