Incident at 8945 Manchester

March 4, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the death of a woman found at 8945 Manchester about 1 a.m. on Friday (March 3).

The identity of the female victim and her cause of death are pending an autopsy by the Harris County Medical Examiner*s office.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Scott and Officer R.P. Martinez reported:

HPD officers were dispatched to the location regarding the discovery of the body of a female found lying on the shoreline of the Houston Ship Channel. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no obvious signs of trauma to the body.
