Incident at 6411 North Main

March 13, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman at 6411 North Main about 2:25 a.m. today (March 13).

The victim has been identified as Erlinda Gallegos, 56, of 6411 North Main. The suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. E. Elliott and Officer M. Cruz Jr. reported:

After responding to a shooting call, investigators determined Ms. Gallegos was shot during a home invasion. Three suspects, described only as Hispanic males, were seen fleeing the area on foot southbound on North Main.
