Traffic Incident at 5900 Hillcroft

March 20, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 5900 Hillcroft about 2:30 a.m. today (Mar. 20).

The identity of the victim is pending notification to next of kin.

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant G. T. Hall and Officer A. Alaniz reported:

A male was involved in a traffic accident on the Southwest Freeway service road at Hillcroft. He fled the location on foot and ran south on Hillcroft towards the eastbound service road. The male was then struck by a vehicle, which fled the area. The driver of that vehicle is wanted on charges of failure to stop and render aid.
