Traffic Incident at 9200 Gulf Freeway

May 3, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 9200 Gulf Freeway about 11:25 p.m. on Tuesday (May 2).

The identity of the victim and the cause of death are pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner's Office.

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant G.T Hall and Officer A. Alaniz reported:

A small car was stalled in the northbound lanes of the Gulf Freeway and when it struck from behind by a pickup truck. The car burst into flames killing the victim.
