Incident at 2401 West Sam Houston Parkway North

November 12, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 2401 West Sam Houston Parkway North on November 11, 2006 at 9:30 p.m.

The deceased victim is identified as Eberildo Juarez Gonzales, 30, of 2401 West Sam Houston Parkway #820. He sustained a gunshot wound to the upper left chest area and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants R. Torres and J.C. Padilla reported:

Mr. Gonzales and his girlfriend were returning home from a restaurant, when they observed a gray 4-door vehicle in the parking lot. Mr. Gonzales told his girlfriend that he had a previously gotten into a physical confrontation with the male inside that vehicle and had caused him physical harm (a laceration above his eye). Mr. Gonzales told his girlfriend that the suspect must have come back to look for him in retaliation for the previous incident. Mr. Gonzales' girlfriend observed the suspect approach their vehicle, call Mr. Gonzales out, pull out a gun out of his vehicle and shoot him. The suspect got back into his vehicle and fled the scene.
