Suspect Arrested, Charged in Three Murders

October 3, 2006 -- Houston police have arrested a suspect charged in three murders and believe he is responsible for committing more violent crimes.

The suspect, Antonio Lee *Tony/T-Lee* Williams (b/m, DOB: 5-6-80), is charged
with capital murder and two counts of murder in the 339th State District Court. He is charged in the following incidents:

* On June 17 at 7450 North Shepherd, HPD officers were dispatched to a shooting in progress call. The victim in this case was Dion Barnes, 33. The motive in the shooting was related to an argument Williams and Barnes had about a woman.

* On July 18 at 5500 DeSoto, HPD officers heard several gunshots in the area of Antoine and DeSoto and discovered the body of the victim, Christopher Harris, 15, of 5500 DeSoto #1303 lying in the parking lot at 6002 Antoine. Investigators learned Harris and his cousin were walking on DeSoto Street when Williams approached them and began shooting. Harris, a Hurricane Katrina evacuee from New Orleans, was shot multiple times and ran towards a store where he collapsed and died. The motive in this shooting appears to be a prior altercation Williams had with Harris about narcotics.

* On September 1 at 5675 DeSoto, HPD officers found the victim, Terrell *T-Rock* Ball, 25, dead on the parking lot of the apartment complex. He suffered a gunshot wound to the chest. The motive in this shooting was Williams' contention that Ball was cooperating with the police regarding the investigation into Harris' murder on July 18. Due to this case being a retaliation, capital murder charges were filed against Williams.

Williams is also a suspect in two aggravated assaults, both shootings. On August 7, it's believed he fired shots at and assaulted victims in a parking lot at 5675 DeSoto. On August 22, it's believed Williams shot and wounded Darrin Busby, 41, at the same apartment complex. Those investigations and other possible cases involving Williams are still ongoing.
