Incident at 5565 Kirkpatrick

September 3, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the discovery of human remains found at 5565 Kirkpatrick about 10:15 a.m. on Saturday (September 2).

The remains will be examined by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office to determine the identity and cause of death of the individual.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant H.R. Hernandez and Officer D.S. Vasquez reported:

Officers responded to a suspicious event call at the above location and found what appeared to be a human skull laying in a ditch. Homicide investigators and the Harris County Medical Examiner's office responded to the scene and verified that the skull was that of a human. Additional human remains were found in the area and were taken to the Harris County Medical Examiner's office for further examination.
