Incident at 3316 DeSoto

September 11, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 3316 DeSoto about 11:50 p.m. on Sunday (Sept. 10).

The victim is identified as Tayron Spencer, 23, of 865 Wall. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C.W. Howard and Officer T.A. Andrade reported:

The victim, witness and suspect were all friends. They were together at Highland Park when, for unknown reasons, the suspect shot the victim several times. The suspect then fled in the witness' vehicle, a 2004 blue Chevrolet Malibu with Texas license plates WT4TWF.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 26 years old, 5 feet 7 inches
tall and 135 to 140 pounds. He has shoulder-length, wavy hair from braids
that had just been taken down.
